Joining the Pre-Prep

Boys and girls join Yarlet's Pre-Prep in the September following their third birthday when they enter our Kindergarten class. At this age, attendance may be on a part-time or a full-time basis, with statutory full-time education beginning as the children enter the Reception Class in the September following their fourth birthday. Before-school care runs from 8.15 am every morning on a free of charge basis. After-school care runs from 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm and includes a drink and a snack, followed by tea at 5.00 pm. There is a charge applicable for after-school care, details of which are available from the school study. Statutory full-time education begins as children enter the Reception Class in the September following their fourth birthday.

Early Years Grant Scheme

Yarlet participates in the Government's Early Years Grant Scheme. This allows us to claim, on Parents' behalf, a rebate which, for full-time pupils over 3 years of age, will reduce termly fees by over £400. This Scheme is not means tested and applies to full and part-time pupils until they reach their fifth birthday.
